Hyper Gear was designed in such a manner to reduce retooling time and achieve minimum outages. This engineering machine tool fulfils all these wishes. Hyper Gear is a fully automated stand-alone laser machine tool.
Harsh tests of durability gave us motivation to develop unprecedented technologies, such as complex computer algorithms, hybrid linear motors, use of electrical and optical equipment, various sensors, graphic creators, information transmission technologies and various safety concepts, also including economical aspects.
From ultra-thin to extremely thick materials, as well as coated materials, metal sheets are cut using one and only machine at the maximum rate.
Hyper Gear provides automatic messages, warnings and instructions regarding reactivation of the device.
The variety of automatic functions allows even inexperienced operators to achieve optimum productivity and quality.

Traditional control concepts are based on feedback, in which the greater the cutting, the lower its accuracy. Problems related to Feedback systems: - not necessarily completely round forms, blurry edges due to high temperatures, burning of thin galvanized metal sheets and other materials.
Yamazaki Mazak developed programming technology based on their new theories read-ahead.
Cutting speed and acceleration are calculated automatically by software for each point individually. Optimum speed and required performance are calculated in advance for the next cutting point. This is the latest generation CNC system that allows achieving maximum speeds and precise effects of cutting.

These functions prevent outages in case of failure, even before it occurs, thus enabling many-hour operations. As soon as machine tool sends the warning, it is restarted in no time, which prevents unproductive dry runs.
Mazak Hyper Gear laser machine tool as a standard is equipped with plasma sensor used for determining plasma level in cutting stainless steel. Machine then adjusts automatic cutting settings in order to avoid “break off” of laser beam. Moreover, there is an ongoing piercing going on. The Piercing Sensor reduces greatly time of piercing and machining of components.
While the Burning Sensor prevents cutting faults, which could result from excessive material heating, by detecting them in time and implementing applicable measures.
Completely new cutting head is designed in such a manner as to eliminate manual adjusting of the nozzle centre. In combination with automatic nozzle exchangers this decreases the retooling time, which also makes the work of inexperienced operators easier.

Intelligent automatic detection of contaminants of mirrors and lenses |
If needed, laser machine tool automatically exchanges the head with another of the same lens in order to avoid unnecessary outages. The operator can then, during operation of the machine tool, clean contaminated lenses. |
Intelligent compensation of beam length |
The laser beam is maintained in a permanent way with U axis at the same length in order to, with minimum effort, maintain maximum constant quality in all the points of the table. |
Intelligent laser beam length optimization system |
Thank to using additional U axis (for compensation of beam length), laser beam is kept in such a manner to provide constant focal point, and hence the same cutting conditions for the whole sheet. |
